Everyone has heard it: Take the knob of the bat to the ball. Is it true though? For half of the swing it works well, however, as the hands pass the body towards the softball there is a quick change in the direction of the knob that either determines if you hit in a big zone, or if you've got one small fraction of a second to make perfect contact.
